Heroes of Olympus: by Rick Riordan
Heroes of Olympus is the continuation of the Percy Jackson series.
The difference in these books is that in the Heroes of Olympus series, there is some exposure to the Roman Mythology as well.
The first book in these series (The Lost Hero) starts with a boy called Jason, waking up in a bus with no memory whatsoever of his life in a school. His friends Piper and Leo are greatly worried by his condition, Piper being his girlfriend and Leo being his best friend.
Soon, Piper and Leo realize that they have been under the illusion that Jason was their friend, when in reality, Jason had not met them at all.
The teacher-in-charge of the school picnic- Coach Hedge (a satyr from the Greek camp) finds out that Jason is the "Special Package" that the Coach had been waiting for.
Jason finds out that he is a son of Zeus, Leo a son of Hephaestus and Piper a daughter of Aphrodite.
Jason, Piper and Leo then set out on a quest to release the Goddess Hera who had been captured. On the way, they escape from Aeolus' castle, save Piper's dad from the giant Enceladus and rush to the Wolf House to save Hera. Though they save Hera, the giant Porphyrion rises. They find out that their enemies are working under Gaia, the goddess of Earth, who is waking.
At the same time, after entering the Greek Camp called Camp Half Blood, Annabeth is agitated, because Percy has been missing for months.
